Tosha Parmar

Tosha Parmar is a ceramic artist who brings a unique architectural perspective to her pottery practice. Born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, she trained at the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT), where she developed the ability to see architecture in every facet of life.

Over the past five years at Mandala Pottery in Auroville, Tosha has specialized in soda firing and the ancient Japanese technique of Nerikomi, combining colored clays to create pieces with unique textures and patterns. "My aim is to bring joy and a sense of wonder through my art," she says, creating pieces that reflect the dialogue between the structured world of architecture and the fluid realm of ceramics.
